Webinar “Strategies on Tourism Restoration in Post Covid-19”

On April 29, 2020, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia, a webinar “Strategies on Tourism Restoration in Post Covid-19” organized by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT) was held. Seminar was led by the President of the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism Dr. Diane Dodd.

Dr. Dodd spoke about the strategy for the development of gastronomic tourism in the post-pandemic period and about the new opportunities for the development of the restaurant and gastronomic business. She noted that Georgia has great potential in this regard. The talks also touched upon the prospects for the development of local tourism and the provision of safe services for tourists, the promotion of the local entrepreneurial sector, their use for tourism purposes, etc.

In his turn, Deputy Minister Mr. Levan Kharatishvili informed the audience that the organization of such webinars is planned in the future. About 40 participants were involved in the webinar. A question-and-answer session was held in the final.
