Historic Thermal Towns Cultural Route in Georgia

During the CoE general assembly of the certified Cultural Routes “European Historic Thermal Towns” held in Loutraki-Perachora, Greece on October 2-5, 2017, Imereti became the first member of the association from Georgia. The region is represented with two resorts: Tskaltubo and Sairme. They are two of the most renowned balneological spa towns that are also famous for their mineral waters.

“European Historic Thermal Towns Association” was founded in Brussels in 2009. It became a certified member of the CoE Cultural Routes a year after. The cities such as Vichy, Baden Baden, Bath, etc. are also part of the route.
